New Beginnings

It's true . . . Emily and I have decided to part ways - it's been a BLAST being roommates these past two years but it's time yet again for a new beginning! Sold alllllll my furniture with the last move so I'm starting over from scratch!!! Just bought and AWESOME couch and two chairs yesterday . . . covered in the print above . . . can't wait to see what other suhhhhh-weet finds come along!

Yesterday was just like Larry in this photo. He looked exactly the way I felt yesterday so I just couldn't resist taking this shot. Love you Lar.

Okay . . . so I cannot tell a lie . . . this was taken Saturday morning . . . NOT on my 12.5 mile route between schools during the workweek BUT I couldn't resist and this whole project was created to get me shooting again so here it is.

OPEN STUDIOS

Hope everyone was able to take FULL advantage of Open Studios here in Roanoke this weekend! SOOOOOO many talented and inspiring artists we have here . . . I was soooo glad I took the time to tour around and see what everyone else has been up too. It's always fun to see new work AND work in progress right IN the studio.

Eric Fitzpatrick has quite the studio and I left drooooooooling - nice work Eric. We can tell you love what you do and have a special connection with your space. It was a joy to spend time in your studio Saturday morning!!

I have RETURNED

Spring Break is OVER :( and I've also made a trip to N.Y.C and back!!!

We had a hilarious 71 yr old tour guide, John, who is a true New Yorker. He took us to a Yankees game, Mamma Mia, shopping on 5th Ave and allllll over. Can't wait to return and explore beyond the touristy frindge.

Look out Dolan's - I'm coming for a visit this summer!!!!

Mary's Gone Wild

So . . . am just returning home from a girl's weekend @ Holden Beach! Fabulous trip but alas the work week is coming quickly :(

Will post many more pictures from the getaway but couldn't go to sleep this evening without posting this one and mentioning Mary . . . check out this wild Folk Artist who builds doll houses and paints on windows. She's UH-MAY-ZING and I'm so glad we met her this weekend!

Her glass house was the most impressive . . .
